Text message terms

These terms cover the Amin Relief text message program. By opting in you agree to them. They are short on purpose.
What you are agreeing to
This is the exact wording shown beside the checkbox at checkout:
By checking this box you agree to receive updates on your donation, plus recurring automated marketing and fundraising texts, from Amin Relief at the number above. Consent is not a condition of donating. Message frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. We never sell or share your number.
How you join
Only one way: by ticking the text message box yourself on our checkout page. The box is unticked until you tick it.
A mobile number is required at checkout so we can reach you about your gift. The messages are not. Consent is never a condition of donating, and giving us a number is not agreement to be texted.
We never add a number from any other source — no purchased lists, no numbers shared by another organisation, no numbers collected for a different purpose.
What we send, and how often
Updates on your donation:gift confirmation, allocation to a delivery batch, delivery to families, and a link to proof photos once they are published. Roughly 1–5 messages per donation.
Campaign messages: occasional fundraising and current-needs appeals. Up to about 4 messages per month.
Messages contain links to your own donation tracker and to proof photos. They never contain a phone number to call.
Stopping, and getting help
Reply STOP to any message at any time. You get one confirmation and nothing after that. STOP works whether or not you have an account with us — we record it against the number itself.
Reply START to resume. Reply HELP for support, or email help@aminrelief.org.
You can also manage everything from your account under Notifications.
Cost and carriers
Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for messages; your mobile carrier may, according to your plan.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and is not guaranteed.
Supported on major US carriers. You must be the account holder of the number, or have permission from them, and be old enough to enter into these terms.
Your number and your data
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. Your number is shared only with our SMS delivery vendor, Telnyx, and only to deliver the messages you asked for.

Changes
If we change what this program sends, we will update this page and the checkout wording together, and ask you again where the change is material. We do not quietly widen what you agreed to.
